UPDATE!

The past few days have been GO! GO! GO! Some huge steps have been taken towards the Africa trip that are ALL blessings from God!

The first thing is a prayer that God answered almost instantaneously... a family member of mine has been setting aside money for me in a mutual fund since I was a baby. Without even knowing that funds were needed, she mentioned she wanted to give me that money for the trip! Guess what... it is the EXACT amount the trip will cost!! How is that a coincidence? Nothing is by accident when God is in charge! So that's one more thing checked off the list... yippee!!!!!

Second: I am getting my immunizations for Africa this Friday! Leukocytes, meet typhoid fever. Typhoid fever, meet leukocytes. Oh, and don't forget ty's friend, malaria!!! Say a prayer for those little white blood cells for me, would ya? I am afraid they might need all the prayers they can get.

#3: This is a biggin'.... I BOOKED MY FLIGHTS TO AFRICA AND BACK!!!! AHHH!!! So so so so amazing... I leave on June 10th around 7 in the evening, make a pit stop in London (I think I might grab a cup of tea and a crumpet while I'm there...), then off to Zambia I go! It's something like 20 hours of air time. Sheesh... I need to stock up on some books or something! I leave Zambia on July 19th, with another stop in London... except this time... wait for it... I get to enjoy an entire evening in that splendid place! EEE! If I don't swing for the tea and crumpet my first go around, I am DEFINITELY doing it on the way home... being that I'm going to have to stay in a hotel! I'm just glad they speak english... and I can't wait to hear everyone speak the Queen's english! I might fall in love... with every man I bump into... because I can't resist that accent. Goodness gracious. I will probably have to walk around with earplugs in!

So as you can see... it's been an extremely busy few days! Passport is en route, a seat is reserved for me on the plane, a bed is secure in Zambia (made complete with mosquito nets), and I have the finances to do it all! So, say it with me... praise You, Father, for Your faithfulness and timeliness!

Prayer for my preparation: Colossians 1:9-12 “...We also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”
