1) Immunizations are complete. Typhoid fever: check, Hep A: check, mosquito spray and deet lotion: check, malaria pills: pseudo check. I start the malaria pills two weeks before I leave, but there is one major side-effect.... nightmares. Please pray that I am not one to have this side-effect! I can't imagine being alone in a foreign country, in a house all by myself, waking up with night terrors. My dog won't even be there to protect me! I will have to rely on God's grace for this fear to go away... "For God has not given us a spirit of fear..." 2 Tim 1:7. (oh, and you guys, pleeease don't worry! I will be in a gated area around the hospital with a security guard... no need to fear for my life. God has it under control!)
2) My L&D/OB final is this Thursday! Please pray for continued focus as I prepare for this test and for me to retain the information I study.
Is there anything I can pray about for YOU today? We are called to carry each other's burdens... thank you for carrying mine. Please let me carry yours and lay it at the feet of Jesus!
After Thursday, expect frequent posts... like I said, I need to focus on this material! Studying about life-threatening pregnancy complications, preterm infant complications, and breast cancer isn't exactly light reading material. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!

p.s. I don't know if you have a dog, but I know God continuously shows His love through my dog Katy. They are such a blessing!
She never cuddles with me. Seriously, never. Unless she's exhausted. This morning she decided to jump in bed and cuddle... it was an unexpected surprise!
